What happens if the password is forgotten, stolen or lost?
If you lose, forget, or have your password stolen, you can use the password reset service to obtain a new password. To use this application, you must have verified your mobile phone number or both your mobile phone number and email address in your profile on the e-Government Portal. If you have not completed either of these steps, you must apply in person at a PTT office, Türksat Cable Office, or population registration device to obtain a new password.
If you have previously verified your mobile phone number and email address, you can select one of the following options from the ‘My Password and Security Settings’ section of the e-Government Portal:
- By obtaining a new password envelope only from PTT branches
- By entering the codes sent to your mobile phone and email address
- By entering the code sent to your mobile phone
You can select one of these options and choose one of the password reset methods. You can reset your password and set a new one by selecting the ‘Forgot my password’ option in the login field. Turkish Republic e-Government Portal users who are 15 years of age or older and blue card users can benefit from this password reset service. However, foreign users cannot benefit from the password reset service.
