What happens if the password is forgotten, stolen or lost?

In case the password is lost, forgetten or stolen, you can use the password reset service to have a new password. To use this application, you need to have your mobile number or both the mobile number and e-mail verified from the contact information segment in your profile on e-Government Gateway. Unless you carry out one of these transactions, you need to obtain a new password in person from the PTT branches or central directorates.

If you have already verified your mobile number and e-mail, you can choose one of the following password resetting methods on the Password and Security Settings page on e-Government Gateway:
• By obtaining a new password in a closed envelope only from the PTT branches
• By entering the codes sent to the mobile and e-mail
• By entering the code sent to my mobile.
You can reset your password by clicking on the “I forgot my password” option and set a new password. The users of Republic of Türkiyee-Government Gateway turning 15 and the users owning blue card can benefit from this password resetting service. However, the foreign users cannot use the password resetting service.
