I changed my phone number, what should I do?
You can make your new phone number an identity-verified number and start using it for your two-factor logins by choosing one of the following methods:
1. Verify with a different phone number using NFC technology:
After logging in with your e-Government Gateway password or through internet banking, you can use the option to log in with a different phone number to update your identity-verified mobile number and access the system.
2. Login with a backup code:
To use this method, you must have previously generated a backup code. If you still have an unused backup code, after logging in with your e-Government Gateway password or through internet banking, you can select the backup code login option to access the system. Once logged in, if you are using a web browser, you can change your phone number through the “My Communication Preferences” page, or if you are using the mobile app, through the “My Profile” page.
3. Login with mobile signature, e-signature, or smart ID card:
If you are able to log in to the e-Government Gateway with a mobile signature, electronic signature, or smart ID card, you can use one of these methods to access the system without the need for two-factor authentication. Once logged in, if you are using a web browser, you can change your phone number through the “My Communication Preferences” page, or if you are using the mobile app, through the “My Profile” page.
4. Verification of a different phone number at PTT branches or Türksat Cable Subscriber Centers:
You can visit any PTT branch or Türksat Cable Subscriber Center with your ID card to verify your new phone number.
5. Verify with a different phone number at Nüfusmatik kiosks:
Using your smart ID card, you can register your new phone number as your identity-verified number through Nüfusmatik kiosks. You can view the nearest Nüfusmatik kiosk locations at https://www.nvi.gov.tr/nufusmatik-noktalari
