E-Government Gateway

Where and How Can I Get the e-Government Password?

By applying in person and presenting an identification document that includes the Turkish Republic ID number (such as an ID card, passport, driver’s license, Blue Card, or for foreigners, a residence permit, work permit, or temporary protection card), you can obtain your e-Government Gateway password from PTT branches, Türksat Cable Offices, or—if you are a Turkish citizen with a Turkish ID card—through nüfusmatik devices within Türkiye.
- When applying for a password, blue card holders are required to present this card along with a photo ID card, passport or driving licence issued by the authorities of their country of nationality. If the Blue Card cannot be presented, any official identity document issued by the state of the country of nationality may be requested, and the e-Government password can be obtained after the identity information is verified through the system.
- Foreign nationals are required to present a valid residence permit or a valid work permit card issued to foreigners by the Turkish Ministry of Labour and Social Security, along with their passport, in order to obtain a password. Citizens with a Temporary Protection Certificate are not required to present their passport.

If you live abroad, you can obtain your e-Government password from Embassies and Consulates abroad. For detailed information on this subject, you can contact the relevant foreign representatives.
Furthermore, if you use contracted internet banking, mobile signature, electronic signature or Turkish ID Card, you can create your password after logging into the e-Government Portal with one of these.
